Meet Carrie: Keeper of the Space

The Keeper of the Space is the hidden heartbeat of the Missing Corner that combines care for the physical space with behind-the-scenes tracking of details that keep things running smoothly. I can’t be more pleased to introduce Carrie as our new Keeper of the Space. She brings a no nonsense get it done attitude along with a healthy heaping spoonfull of considerateness (is that a word!) and care for the people and spaces around her. When you see welcoming touches such as fresh flowers and holiday decor - know that she has graced your life. She is someone who is clearly in love and devoted to her son and her community. I feel grateful that she now brings that same love to the Missing Corner and to all of you who interact with it.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your background?

I grew up watching my mom run her own house cleaning business, which gave me hands-on experience and a strong work ethic from an early age. Those years taught me the value of attention to detail, consistency, and building trust with clients. Today, I’m proud to carry that knowledge forward and apply it in my own work.

Q: What’s going on in your life right now that excites you?

Right now, I’m really excited about stepping into the real estate world after recently passing my exam, and also about joining The Missing Corner community as a new member. But most of all, my heart and biggest priority is my 17-month-old son. He’s the best part of my days and what inspires me to keep moving forward.

Q: Looking ahead, what are you most looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to growing with The Missing Corner community and building my career in real estate. On a personal level, I’m excited to spend more time with my son and share new adventures with him as he gets older. I can’t wait to get back into mountain biking and fishing, especially now that he’s able to join me on more of those outdoor experiences.

Q: If you could inspire a cultural shift, what would it be?

I’d love to see people slowing down and placing more value on connection — with family, community, and nature. I think we often get caught up in staying busy and chasing “the next thing,” but more happiness comes from time spent together, supporting one another, and appreciating the simple moments. I’d love to see a world that encourages more balance, kindness, and community care.

Q: What challenges have you faced in bringing your ideas to life?

Some of the challenges I’ve faced have been not always feeling heard, navigating financial limitations, and at times struggling with motivation. Each of those challenges has taught me resilience and pushed me to find creative ways to keep moving forward.
