Inviting Connection In a Disconnected World
If we don’t hoard our abundance and wealth, but instead give what we can, the spirit of the gift shall live on and this space will remain available.
Owner’s Motivation for Making this Labor of Love Happen
We are currently living in a time where we are very disconnected from the people we live near and this saddens me. It is my hope that this community center will enable more people to share their unique talents and interests with their neighbors, regardless of their financial situation, thus enriching our lives with a feeling of connection to the people who surround us and a grounding to the land on which we mutually reside.
I (Natalie Anderson) was able to acquire this space because of some money that was a gift to my family and the amount of money given to me was more than I needed to make my own life work for me. The best way to honor a gift is to make something beautiful from it. From this sense of abundance, I am passing on this gift to the community of people who live near to me in the form of this shared space.

Mission Essay
The Purpose for Our Existence and Our Relentless Commitment to Nourishment
The Missing Corner exists to re-weave and mend holes in the net of the community to catch the falling and place them in a nurturing nest so that they can grow wings and soar. When families and individuals thrive, communities bloom, problems can be solved, and anything is possible. What is broken can be repaired and re-created in beautiful ways. The Missing Corner is a wayhouse, a lighthouse, a portal, a third place straddling worlds. It exists between the harried existence of the dominant culture and a more nourishing life path that is there for those you seek it, but is sometimes hard to find. It is the off-ramp of one world and the on-ramp to another, an exit point from self-dug entrenchments and an access point to another healthier, healing way of being.
The Missing Corner is a neighborhood gathering place bringing together those, who through the vagaries of life happen to live near each other and would not otherwise meet. It is a place of nourishment, a place where anyone is embraced and engulfed by unpressured spaciousness, spontaneity and effortless community. It is a place where we come together, we laugh together, we celebrate with one another, we struggle together. It is a place of greetings and farewells. It is a place for communion, a place for neighborly commerce. It is a place for visions, it is a place for action, it is a place for contemplation. It is a place where we can exchange thoughts, ideas, goods and services in a way that lifts everyone and brings little sparks of ease, joy, pleasure and relief.
The Missing Corner is the location along hwy 141 where relationships between neighbors of varying backgrounds are formed and fostered and people connect and healing synergies are born.
Where we invite connection in a disconnected world.
