Rental Rates

I do not have fixed prices. In return for using the space, I ask you to honestly look at your own financial situation and give back what what you feel is appropriate given your own circumstances.

I am operating this building off of the idea that if we don’t hoard our abundance and wealth, but instead give what we can, the spirit of the gift shall live on and this space will remain available. In this way, money and goods in the community will start naturally flowing to community needs and we will all benefit.

This is our space. What you give in you time, talents and monetary contributions are investments into building a community woven of gifts. It begins with the meeting of needs and unfolds into the creation of beauty.

Read below for guidance.

General Guidelines of Market Rates  for similar type spaces.

These guidelines are provided here simply to give you a benchmark. You are welcome to scale up if you are living from a place of abundance or scale down if you are experiencing scarcity.

  • Donation-based offerings from attendees can be gifted on to the use of the space. Amount highly variable. Similar to offering baskets passed around in church or support groups.

  • Profit share from selling goods or generating income from an event, 10-20% of income from  sales is a common guideline for giving (think tips, church tithes). As you do better, you are able to give more.

  • Community halls range from $100-800/day, $20-80/hr.

  • Food truck vending $300-$800/month, $30-80/day and 10%-20% of daily sales

  • Commercial Kitchen Rentals $15-30/hr

  • Rentals of small office spaces $20-80/day

  • Rental of space for internet/co-working $5-20 /hr

  • Vending booths at farmers markets or other events $20-100

  • Commissions from selling art/goods in galleries and stores 10%-50%

  • Parking $3-10/day, $30-60/yearly pass

If you feel outpriced or limited in your offerings by the market rates, please scale down what you give. If you are coming from a place of abundance and would like to support this community, scaling up your gift will not only help us to expand what we can do for the community but will help to cover the costs for people who do not have enough to provide a gift themselves. You can also flexibly change how much you give as your own situation changes.

If giving money is outside of your means at this time, this space is still accessible to you. My goal is to have the gift of this space be available for all. Be mindful that it takes a great deal of time and money to keep a physical space available and any contribution you make with your own time or money keeps the doors open and contributes to a vibrant community.

Let your heart guide you.  What you are happy with, I am happy with.

Payments are made by a self report honour system fee box located inside the building at the end of your event. You can pay with cash, check or request your credit card on file to be charged for a certain amount. I can also set up automatic monthly invoicing if you are doing something regularly.

For those wanting to have exclusive (non-shared) use of a space, pay on a monthly or yearly cycle and/or would like a contract, I can work with you on a case by case basis.
